There are three types of visa options available for international students who want to study in the US.

  • F Student Visa
  • J Exchange Visa

F Student Visa - Students can apply for F Student Visa if they want to study at an accredited US University or College or want to study English at any English Language Institute.

J Exchange Visa - J Exchange Visa is for students who want to travel abroad from the US for educational purposes.

Visa Options after Graduation

H1B Visa - H1B Visa is only for graduates who completed a degree in the United States and further have secured a job in the country. Once you have a job offer in hand, you can apply for the H1B visa. The applications for the H1B visa start in the April month of each year and are closed once the seats are filled.

L1 Visa - L1B visa is for international graduates who are working for an MNC in their country. To be eligible to apply for this visa, graduates must have completed one year in their company. Besides this criteria, graduates have to provide a strong evidence as to why they are a critical resource to work in the US. The evidence must include you are working in a Managerial or Executive role.

O-1 Visa - O-1 Visa is for top-level professionals working in an MNC or global company. To be eligible to apply for this visa, professionals must exhibit outstanding ability and position in any of the fields, such as arts, education, science, movies, business or athletics. Additionally, if employees can provide an endorsement from credible and authoritative representatives, the O-1 visa could be easily obtained.

E-2 Visa - E-2 Visa is for aspiring Entrepreneurs who can invest a capital in their business. To be eligible to apply for this visa, you must be from a treaty country of the US and be willing to invest in an accredited US company.

EB-5 Visa - Graduates who want to move to the US must invest US $500,000 in US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), that can create at least 10 US jobs. Investments can be in the form of real estate, businesses and restaurants, among others.
